FOUNDING EDITION
A new journey begins from XRACE
DECEMBER 11th - 13th, 2026
BOLAVEN PLATEAU, LAO PDR
Explore • Connect • Conquer
XRACE EXPEDITION is a Team-based Adventure Expedition where participants must use navigation, decision-making, problem-solving, strength, endurance, and teamwork to travel through real terrain and complete assigned missions — without using GPS navigation.
It is not Trail Running and it is not OCR.
The goal is not simply to run fast or overcome man-made obstacles. The challenge is to move your team from one point to another through forests, mountains, streams, natural trails, and agricultural areas across the Bolaven Plateau.
"How fast are you?" — ❌
"When you don’t know what lies ahead, can you and your team find the way forward, complete the missions, and bring the entire team to the destination?" — ✅
GPS Navigation is strictly prohibited (No Google Maps, No GPX, No GPS Navigation).
You will only have:
* A GPS Tracker is provided by the organizer for Safety and Race Control only. Participants cannot use it for navigation.
The real terrain of Bolaven will become part of the challenge!!!
Throughout the journey, your team will face missions that require more than just physical strength.
Sometimes, the shorter path is not the easier path. Every decision your team makes can change the outcome of the Expedition.
When darkness falls, the journey is not over. You will spend a night at the Expedition Camp before facing what awaits you in the dark.
Some things you find tonight, you might not know what they are for... until the next day.
In the final stretch, speed alone might not be enough. We are not just looking for the fastest team; we are looking for a team that can navigate, think, decide, adapt, work together, and bring all members to THE EXTRACTION.
The fastest team is not necessarily the winning team.
"This is not a race where you just pay the fee and show up. Your team must be ready for the Expedition."
What you will not know in advance:
You will only receive information necessary for each stage of the journey because part of the Expedition is learning to deal with uncertainty.
The competition is conducted in teams of 3 Expeditioners.
All 3 team members must start together and remain together throughout the Expedition.
★ 3 START = 3 FINISH ★
A team will be considered an official finisher only when all 3 members reach THE EXTRACTION together.
Expeditioners may use only:
XRACE Map +

Expedition Time + Navigation + Mission Performance +
Penalties
