How It All Began

XRACE began not as a race, but as a community. In Vientiane, a group of athletes gathered at Box Underground Vientiane to train together.

Their training was intense — strength, endurance, and functional fitness designed to push the limits of the human body.

But training inside four walls was never enough. Soon the workouts moved outdoors. Into the mud. Across trails. Through rivers and mountains.

First XRACE Born

2018: The Birth of XRACE

What started as underground training sessions evolved into something bigger. In 2018, the first XRACE was born. Not just as a competition — but as a challenge for those who wanted to test their limits in nature.

From those early days, XRACE grew into an adventure race that connects athletes, explorers, and outdoor enthusiasts across borders.

The Growth & The Hercules Legacy

As our community expanded, so did our ambitions. We introduced the signature Hercules race, a grueling combination of all-terrain running and monumental obstacles that test not only physical strength but mental resilience.

Today XRACE takes place across the landscapes of Laos and Thailand, with iconic events such as XRACE Valley Vangvieng and XRACE Ocean.
